Michael Gardner, a junior, accounting major from Hephzibah, Ga. is this week’s Tom Joyner Foundation’s “Herc Scholar” from Paine College in Augusta, Ga.
This honor student has a 4.0 GPA and plans to own his accounting firm. Paine, who said he is an avid reader, said “Books are the window to the world for me.”
At Paine, Michael volunteers as a math tutor at a local community center, serves a peer tutor, and is a student advisor.
Paine College is a four-year, private co-educational college, located on a beautiful 57-acre campus in the heart of Augusta, Ga. The campus is located one hour away from Columbia, the capital of South Carolina, and it is an easy two-hour drive from Atlanta, the capital of Georgia. With more than 860 full-time students, Paine has 60 Full-time, 24 Adjuncts, 45 Full-time Doctorates.
