(MEMPHIS) LeMoyne-Owen College recognized three local first ladies for the outstanding work in the church and community at its 2nd Annual First Ladies Tea.
Mrs. Jerry Dunnam was named this year’s “Woman of Distinction” at is 2nd Annual First Ladies Tea. Dunnam, wife of Rev. Maxie Dunnam and form Christ United Methodist first lady, was recognized for her work spiritual and community work. Rev. and Mrs. Dunnam established churches in Georgia and Mississippi prior to Rev. Dunnam taking his message of the Gospel online at maxiedunnam.com.
Elder Sherrilyn Williams was recognized as the “Woman of Excellence” for 2012. Mrs. Williams is wife of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church founder and pastor Apostle Alton R. Williams.
Middle Baptist Church-Whitehaven’s First Lady Irene Baskin was named “Woman of the Year”. Mrs. Baskin has served as Middle Baptist’s first lady for over 41 years and is active in her church and community.
Mary Beth Conley of News Channel 3 graciously served as the elegant event’s mistress of ceremonies.
