LeMoyne-Owen Student, Memphis Native Named ‘Herc Scholar’

Sean Calhoun, a sophomore business management major at LeMoyne-Owen College from Memphis, Tenn. has been named a Hercules Scholar by the Tom Joyner Foundation.

Calhoun, an honor student and future CEO of a financial institution, lans to start a chain of grocery stores to support food deserts in inner city and rural areas.

At Lemoyne Owen, he was elected Freshman Class President, Vice President of the Student Chapter of NAACP, serves as a peer tutor and  volunteers as a team leader for a community clean-up project.
