Sean Calhoun, a native of Memphis, Tenn, has been named this week’s “Herc Scholar” by the Tom Joyner Foundation.
The sophomore business management major is an honor student and future CEO of a financial institution. He also plans to start a chain of grocery stores to support food deserts in inner city and rural areas.
At LeMoyne Owen, he was elected Freshman Class president, vice president of the student chapter of NAACP, serves as a peer tutor, and volunteers as a team leader for a community clean-up project.
