A Hercules Scholar is a student whose school and community involvement, and academic endeavors, has earned him a $1,500 scholarship from The Tom Joyner Foundation, Inc. (TJF). The scholarship is named in honor of Tom’s father, the late Hercules Joyner who had a passion for education.
The Tom Joyner Foundation remains focused on ensuring the future of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) well into the 21st Century through customized capacity building programs.
