We invite you to attend the 1st Annual Singles in the City Auction for Education. This joint partnership with the Tom Joyner Foundation and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is a charity auction event to raise funds to provide much-needed scholarships to young people in pursuit of higher education.
HOW THE AUCTION WORKS
Attendees will bid on a variety of packages (called “experiences”) that include auction participants. For example, an experience can be a golf outing with a business professional or sports figure. EXPERIENCES ARE NOT DATES. The Singles Auction is strictly a fundraising event “for the cause”.

ABOUT THE TOM JOYNER FOUNDATION
Founded in 1998 by nationally syndicated radio personality, Tom Joyner, the Tom Joyner Foundation supports Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with scholarships, endowments, and capacity building enhancements.
Over the years, the Tom Joyner Foundation has contributed greatly to the endowments of HBCUs around the nation by providing financial assistance to students in need. Since 1998, we have raised more than $60 million to help keep students enrolled in HBCUs.
UNCF envisions a nation where all Americans have equal access to a college education that prepares them for rich intellectual lives, competitive and fulfilling careers, engaged citizenship and service to our nation.
UNCF’s mission is to build a robust and nationally-recognized pipeline of under-represented students who, because of UNCF support, become highly-qualified college graduates and to ensure that our network of member institutions is a respected model of best practice in moving students to and through college.
