CSU College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences’ Associate Professor Wins Award, published
WILBERFORCE, OH, – Dr. Carol Bargeron, Associate Professor of History, won the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences’ Excellence Award in Research Publication for April 2012.
Dr. Bargeron recently had her research article entitled a “A Pre-Modern Islamic Theory of Early Childhood Development and Education” accepted for publication in RevistaHistoria: Intus-Legere (Chile).
As a contributor to the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences’ Research and Creative Work Symposium held on 6 November 2012, Dr. Carol Bargeron, Associate Professor of History, gave a poster presentation entitled ©Primary Sources: The Ticket to Student Learning and Engagement in History. Currently under revision for publication, her work advanced an innovative teaching technique she developed and has employed in her introductory-level survey courses in Global History and Introduction to the History of Africans in the U.S. since 2009. As a result of her participation in the Pedagogy Roundtable in 2011-2012, she measured student progress and presented the metrics of student achievement in two courses, HIST. 1121 and HIST. 1110, which she taught in Summer 2012.
