Work Smarter, Not Harder: Meet Justin Ellis Matthews, Today’s Dillard University Hercules Scholar

Career goal: industrial engineering

Congratulations to Justin Ellis Matthews, today’s Hercules Scholarship recipient. This Georgia native is involved in Freshman Class Council, Physics Club, Gameday Management Team, PODUS (Presidential Ambassador) and is Mister Freshman. After graduation, Justin plans to begin his career as an engineer with a major firm.

Justin is greatly influenced by his mother, Nina Matthews and his father, George Matthews. He lives by the motto: “Work smarter, not harder.”

When Justin isn’t studying, he enjoys basketball and learning about his own and different cultures.
