Congratulations to William Thompson, a senior mass communications major at Dillard University. As a second generation Dillard student, William has always loved pop culture. That’s why, after graduation, William plans to take his talents to the professional world in hopes of becoming an entertainment journalist and/or public relations specialist.

While at Dillard, the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship recipient has served as a presidential ambassador, residential assistant, event committee chair, is a member of the Royal Court, the Collegiate 100 Black Men and the Beta Phi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

William is most influenced by his mother, late father and grandparents. He says their time, love and energy makes him grateful for all the sacrifices and life lessons they instilled in him.

William lives by the motto: “Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.” – Mother Teresa
