Tougaloo Future Sports Psychologist, Simeon Williams, is Today’s Hercules Scholar

Career goal: Sports Psychologist

Congratulations to Tougaloo sophomore Simeon Williams. The Cordova, Tennessee native plans to attend graduate school and pursue his desire of becoming a sport psychologist.

Simeon has excelled during his short time at Tougaloo. He has served as president of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and participates in Faculty Assistant Mentor, which is an organization who guides and mentors incoming students during their first year at Tougaloo. Simeon is also a varsity member of the Honda Campus All-Star Team and business manager of the Tougaloo Academic Success Center, where he tutors peers in psychology, economics, accounting and writing.

In addition to his academics, Simeon enjoys writing poetry, reading, playing basketball and chess.

Simeon is influenced by his grandfather, Allen Williams, who gave him two mottos to live by:

Honesty is the best policy.
Life is unfair. If you don’t like something, do something about it.
