Are these the Top 8 HBCU Bands in the Land?

Yesterday the 8 Bands that will participate in the Invitational Battle of the Bands were announced. Some of the final bands that were selected for the invitational were chosen as the Tom Joyner Foundation School of the Month in the past.

The final eight bands have been selected and will take the Georgia Dome by storm on January 24, 2015, when they showcase their incredible musical talent and electrifying showmanship in front of a packed crowd in Atlanta, GA.  Even though these bands were voted on by fans, do you think the final 8 Bands are the best HBCU Bands in the Land?

Here is a list of the HBCU Bands :

  • Alabama State University, Mighty Marching Hornets (Southwestern Athletic Conference)
  • Bethune-Cookman University, Marching Wildcats (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference)
  • Howard University, Showtime Marching Band (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference)
  • Jackson State University, Sonic Boom of the South (Southwestern Athletic Conference)
  • North Carolina A&T University, Blue and Gold Marching Machine (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference)
  • Southern University, Human Jukebox (Southwestern Athletic Conference)
  • Talladega College, Marching Tornado Band (Gulf Coast Athletic Conference)
  • Tennessee State University, Aristocrat of Bands (Ohio Valley Conference)
