On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, participants from around the word participated in #GivingTuesday. Charities, businesses, community centers, families, and students, came together for the common purpose to give thanks. A preliminary estimate of donations tallied from various platforms showed that $45.7 million was given this year.
2014 marked the second year for the Tom Joyner Foundation to partner with the initiative. Due to the efforts of supporters, $758.10 was raised to continue the Foundation’s efforts of keeping Scholars in School.
