Congratulations to today’s Hercules Scholar from Morgan State University. Oluwakayode, a junior electrical and computer engineering major, plans to attend Stanford University for graduate school to study electrical engineering and concentrate on renewable energy.

Oluwakayode has achieved much during his academic career and has a very promising future. He was a University Innovation Fellow for the Stanford University School of Design and National Science Foundation program, whose aim is to raise change agents on college campuses throughout the world. In addition, the soccer player is involved in several activities on and off campus including being a member of Morgan State’s Honda Campus All-Star Challenge team, a mentor in the Vivian Burey Marshall Stem Initiative Program for middle and high school students, president of the Morgan State University Chess Club, and member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

The most influential people in Oluwakayode’s life are his family, Mr. Justin Hall (the first staff member he met at Morgan), and famous inventors Nikola Tesla and Elon Musk.

He lives by the motto: “I will do all I can to make the world a better place.”
