  • Cynthia Arterbery began in Coppell Independent School District in 2000 at Valley Ranch Elementary and is in her 18th year
  • First African American principal at Kincaid Elementary School in Marietta, GA (Cobb County School District)
  • First African American principal at Alma Elementary School in Phoenix, AZ
  • Youngest principal in Houston Independent School District at the age of 30
