BLACK GIRLS ROCK!™ Inc. builds the self-esteem and self-worth of young women of color by changing their outlook on life, broadening their horizons and providing tools for self-empowerment and efficacy.”

Founded by model and entrepreneur, Beverly Bond, Black Girls Rock! honors and promotes women of color in all professional fields. The annual awards show that airs BET, celebrates the accomplishments of black and brown women.

Women from all over come together to celebrate each other while enjoying a night of honoring phenomenal women and musical entertainment. Past honorees include Missy Elliot, Erykah Badu, Pam Grier, Iman and many more. Hosts like Taraji P. Henson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Nia Long have graced the stage to lead the grand event.

Since its start in 2006, Black Girls Rock! has grown significantly over the years. This year, Beverly Bond released a book, Black Girls Rock!: Owning Our Magic. Rocking Our Truth, which highlights the achievements and accomplishments of black women around the world.

Black Girls Rock! is a powerful movement that continuously shows black and brown women around the world that we are black girl magic!
