A few quick facts about Compton’s Mayor, Aja Brown:

Made history as the youngest mayor ever elected in Compton California (Age 31).

She is a twin!

Reduced the unemployment rate in Compton by 50 percent.

 Reduced the homicide rate in Compton by 50 percent

Recipient of several awards including:

John F. Kennedy New Frontier Award

Brave One’s Leadership Award

USC young Merit Award

National Action Network Martin Luther King Award.

Will run for the United States House of Representatives in California’s 44th congressional district.

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning and Development, along with a Master’s degree in Urban Planning with a concentration in Economic Development from the University of Southern California.
