This Hercules Scholar Hopes to Create a Path For Future Generations. Meet Stillman Junior Brandon Wood

Congratulations to today’s Hercules Scholarship winner, junior Business major Brandon Wood. The Birmingham, Alabama native plans to get his MBA at the University of Alabama and eventually use his skills to build his own Fortune 500 company. Through entrepreneurship, Brandon hopes to fill the needs of future generations while creating more opportunities for minorities.

Brandon is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and Stillman’s SGA, is an infielder for the Stillman baseball team, and works with the Career Service Office.

Outside of school, Brandon is active in the community. He started own mentoring program for male students at Riverside Middle School in Tuscaloosa. He also works with Tuscaloosa’s C.A.M.P. College Gear UP program, where he mentors students at various high schools in order to prepare them for their high school and post-high school experiences.

The Stillman student is most inspired by is his father, who Brandon says  taught him integrity and honesty and the value of friendship. Brandon says his father is one of the hardest working men he knows and displays the characteristics of the man whom Brandon aspires to one day become.
