Congratulations to Meharu Negawo for being our Herc Scholar of the week! Here is what he had to say:
My name is Meharu Negawo and I am an international student from Ethiopia. First of all, I’m so honored and privileged being one of the Tom Joyner Foundation Hercules Scholar Program applicants, I have Conferred my first Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration on 04/28/2018 from Concordia College where the Legendary national radio personality Tom Joyner gave a speech on the last commencement at Concordia College Alabama. I am also a recipient of $5 from Tom Joyner on the same day, which he told us to add many zeros after $5.
I am getting my second degree in Computer Science in order to advance my skills set and future career. For extra-curricular activities, I am a soccer player, secretary for International Students Club, Chaplain for Honor Students Society and Resident Assistant.
After graduation, I want to work as a Network Administrator and I would like to give back to my community by mentoring and tutoring high school and college students. By helping students to develop study skills and organizational techniques to help improve their academic performance.
