Samuel Mendenhall, Jr. Hopes to Share His Knowledge With Others. Meet Today’s Stillman Hercules Scholar

Congratulations to today’s Hercules Scholarship winner, Samuel Mendenhall, Jr. a freshman supply-chain logistics major. After graduation, the Mobile, Alabama native plans to put his skills to work at Honda, Mercedes or Amazon as their supply-chain/logistics manager while working on obtaining his master’s degree. Samuel hopes to eventually open his own logistics, marketing or development firm.

Aside from his academics, Samuel is very active on campus as the SGA Freshman Senator, president of the pre-alumni Council and a new member of the Stillman chapter of the Collegiate 100. He has held intern positions for the  dining hall and enrollment management at Stillman.

Samuel is most influenced by his great aunt, who sparked an interest in business in him. As a warden in a death row prison and entrepreneur, his aunt inspired Samuel through her hard work and versatility.

Samuel lives by the motto, “A candle does not lose its light by lighting another candle.”
