The School of Business at South Carolina State University has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than 5 percent of the world’s business programs. Today, there are 727 business schools in 48 countries and territories that maintain AACSB accreditation.

“Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students.”said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International.

South Carolina State is one of 11 schools in South Carolina and the only Historically Black University in the state to attain this prestigious accreditation. The School of Business was initially accredited in 2001. Programs accredited include five undergraduate programs in accounting, agribusiness, business economics, management and marketing and an MBA program with tracks in a general MBA, entrepreneurship and agribusiness.

“The School of Business maintains our flagship programs. We are very proud of the accomplishments of the faculty, students and staff in the School of Business,” said Dr. W. Franklin Evans, acting president.
