Ronald Talley, a junior at the Tennessee State University, was named the Tom Joyner Foundation “Hercules Scholar ” for this week.
Mr. Talley currently holds a 3.67 gpa at Tennessee State University. After receiving his degree, he plans to take on an entry-level job as an auditor for an organization to gain the experience in preparation for the CPA exam. After that completing the CPA exam, he would like to pursue a master’s degree in accounting.
On the campus of Tennessee State University, he is a University Ambassador, a part of the TSU Chicago Club, the social chair of Accounting Club and a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor’s Society.
Talley said the most influential person in his life has been his grandmother. He says “her motivational text messages in the morning and good advice always keeps me going and pushes me to continue to work hard and stay dedicated.”
