“How My Passions Impact the World.” CSU club to host Oratorical Contest

Central State University Optimist Club will host an Oratorical contest for local youth on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 6 pm in the Paul Robeson Cultural & Performing Arts Center, Recital Hall.

Middle and High School students from the Wilberforce and Xenia communities will speak for 5 minutes on the Optimist International Topic: “How My Passions Impact the World.” 

The winners from the contest will advance to a Zone competition with other area Optimist Clubs. Ultimately, winners have the opportunity to compete at a state level and the winners, both male and female, will each receive a $3,500 scholarship.
