Paine College adopts new STEM curriculum

June 20, 2018 by ahouston

Paine College just announced its partnership with the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space or  C.A.S.I.S.

That’s a program chosen by NASA to manage the International Space Station.

The partnership aims to provide students at Paine College with non-traditional learning where they can write code to control robots, monitor plants in space, and get a better understanding of Earth.

“We need them,” says Dan Barstow.

Barstow is the Education Manager for the International Space Station, he continues to explain how important the STEM program is for students and C.A.S.I.S., “Our future requires students who pursue careers in STEM fields. It’s so important. We need smart kids like these to help solve the problems of the future.”
