‘My HBCU Experience Changed My Life’: Georgette Orr, First Generation HBCU Student

March 15, 2017 by Cherie S. White

Name: Georgette Orr

HBCU attended: Florida A & M University

Hometown: Tallahassee, Florida

Georgette’s experience as a first generation HBCU student: My HBCU experience changed my life. It transformed me from a small town girl into an ambitious, educated, professional woman. I left feeling equipped for Corporate America and with an appreciation of diverse cultures. I made lasting friendships and deepened my awareness of my own culture. I would not change a thing.
