As a student at Dillard University and 1st generation in my family to attend college, it is sometimes difficult to continue my education under my financial situation. Given that I am a commuting student as well, I sometimes juggle the little money that I do have to provide gas to make it to my classes. I am also a mother to three boys aged 4, 6 & 7 years of age, one of which has Autism.
I am also a part caregiver for my grandmother who is disabled with multiple illnesses. As a mother to a son who needs my constant care and supervision along with my grandmother, I am because of those reasons unemployed. Above all, I am indeed dedicated towards my education and believe it will place me on the correct path to being a successful woman in the corporate world.
I am beyond grateful to be given an opportunity to receive assistance from The Tom Joyner Foundation
always dreamt I would be able to have. Even in her stance of suffering
I want to become an entrepreneur, in doing this I plan to own my own daycare. I believe children are your future and I want to aid in making them become the best they can be. I’m honored to be a candidate to receive this donation. Thank you very much for considering me.
