Congratulations to today’s Hercules Scholar, Kadariese Griffin, a sophomore at Edward Waters College. Kadariese enjoys weight training and boxing in his spare time and is a member of the EWC Pre-Alumni Council.

Kadariese credits his grandmother as the person who has most influenced his life. Although she passed away last year, she was instrumental in encouraging Kadariese to do well in school and become the first in his family to earn a college degree.

Kadariese earned his first “B” in his freshman year at Edward Waters College and vows to never drop below a “B” grade throughout his college experience.

The motto that inspires him is: “Stay focused on long-term goals and determined to maintain and gain.”
