Joseph Stevens Jr. of Wiley College Receives the $1,500 Hercules Scholarship

Hometown : Port Arthur

GPA: 3.5

Classification/Major: Junior / Business Administration

Joseph Stevens Jr. named this week’s Tom Joyner Foundation Hercules Scholar

Upon graduation, Joseph plans to attend NYU Stern to obtain his masters in Internal Business and reach his overall goal of becoming the CEO at a Fortune 500 Company. Joseph would also like to build a Boys and Girls Club in his hometown of Port Arthur,Texas.

At the Wiley College, Joseph is a member of the Wiley College Business Management Club , The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Vice President of Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society. In the community Joseph serves as an usher at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

The most influential people in Joseph’s life are his parents. He says they taught him morals and values that have carried him throughout his life.

The motto he lives by  is “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13
