December 26, 2013 by sarterbery

Johnson C. Smith University will offer a master of social work degree beginning in the fall of 2014. The establishment was approved by the  Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Ronald L. Carter, president of Johnson C. Smith University, stated, “This is a historic period at Johnson C. Smith University as we move from a bachelor-degree-granting institution to one that offers an even higher level of education. Our Master of Social Work is designed to meet the needs of our students and the community at large, fulfilling our mission as a new urban university.”
