Jeremey, a junior at the Xavier University of Louisiana was named the Tom Joyner Foundation “Hercules Scholar ” for this week.
Mr. Shropshire is originally from Hammond, Louisiana and he currently holds a 3.75 GPA and is majoring in Chemistry Pre -Med at the Xavier University of Louisiana. After earning his degree at XULA , he plans to attend and complete medical school in order to obtain a medical degree. He wants complete the PhD program in either cancer biology or chemistry. His ultimate goal is to complete a cardiovascular fellowship in order to become a cardiologist.
On campus Jeremey is a Chemistry Tutor , Undergraduate Laboratory Student Researcher and he is on the McNair Scholars Community Service Board. He is also a member of Alpha Lamda Delta Honors Society and is involved with STEM NOLA , an organization that assist students with science experiments and educate them on scientific reasoning
The most influential person in Jeremey’s life are his parents. He mentions that his parents instilled diligence, focus, perseverance and morality
