“Human JukeBox” the Best HBCU Band in the land

NCAA ranks Southern’s ‘Human Jukebox’ marching band second in nation.

But what that really means is that out of all the HBCU bands in the nation , the Human Jukebox is number 1.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association has named Southern University’s “Human Jukebox” marching band as the second best collegiate marching band in the country, topped only by Ohio State University.

“This is downright amazing for our students that the NCAA has taken notice of what we do at Southern University,” Southern Director of Bands Lawrence Jackson said in a news release.  In the latest Tom Joyner Foundation Poll of the week,  the Southern University band received over 20,000 votes for being the best Band in the HBCU land.

Check out some remarkable performances from the “Human Jukebox”. Remember Southern University Baton Rouge is the Tom Joyner Foundation School of the Month for November.
