His Faith and Consistency Has Taken Him Far. Meet Devounte Ho-Hing, Bethune-Cookman Hercules Scholar

Congratulations to Devounte Ho-Hing, today’s Hercules Scholarship winner. The junior scholar at Bethune-Cookman has a strong passion for serving his community and hopes to one day apply his influence on a greater scaled through his creativity. Devounte plans on developing an art production business, where “we build a strong community of influential artists that impact the art culture.”

Devounte is active in several groups on campus, including the National Association of Black Accountants, Brother 2 Brother, the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Student Activities Board.

The West Palm Beach native is most influenced by his mother who plays a huge role in Devounte’s life and inspires him to achieve the very best when opportunities are given.

He lives by the motto: Apply faith, consistency and hard work in anything you do.
