Hinds Community College-Utica is Our June 2018 School of the Month

About Hinds Community College-Utica

The Utica Campus of Hinds Community College, formerly Utica Junior College, has a long history of serving our community. Utica Junior College was founded in 1903 as Utica Normal and Industrial Institute and is the oldest of the six Hinds locations. Utica Junior College merged with the Hinds Community College District in 1982 but retains its Historically Black College & University (HBCU) designation and traditions.

In the video below, Hinds Community College-Utica campus President Dr. Tyrone Jackson talks to about the school’s mission and goals.

Tom Joyner has  a message for all HCC-Utica supporters, alumni and friends.
