Congratulations to today’s Hercules Scholar from Texas College, Jye Jackson. After graduation, Jye plans to continue on to graduate school. The importance of education was instilled in Jye at an early age. This motivates him to go above and beyond in his endeavors.

Jye is a member of the Gamma Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is SGA Parliamentarian, and secretary of the Texas College Library Club. He also a member of the campus food service committee.

The most influential people in his life are his mother, who he says has supported him through thick and thin, and his coach, Henry Wilson, who is also a father figure and helps Jye manage the adversities of college life.

Jye lives by the motto: F.E.A.R., Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise. The choice is yours.
