Congratulations to Ron Davalos, a senior, marketing major from New Orleans. After graduation, Ron plans to relocate to Denver to work in a sales apprentice program.
In addition to excelling in his academics, Ron holds positions in several organizations on campus including American Marketing Association president, member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Dr. Kimbrough’s Lecture Series Brain Food Team and Freshman Class Council Off-Campus Representative.
Ron has the entrepreneurial spirit. He is the owner of VAKU, LLC, a culture of Art and Charity, which focuses on creating indescribable happiness by providing help to the less fortunate. His business success earned him the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award at Dillard in 2015.
Ron says he is most influenced by God, music mogul Sean Combs, all of his Alpha brothers, his adviser Dr. Cooper and his family.
He lives by the motto: “If your light don’t shine, don’t bother mines.”
