My name is Wydglif Dorlus and I am a senior at Dillard University. Physics and engineering are my passions, which is why my major is physics. Upon the completion of earning my Bachelor’s Degree in physics and pre-engineering, I plan to attend graduate school in order to obtain my Master’s Degree in electrical engineering.

I am the President of Society of Physics Students (SPS) and the Vice President of Sigma Pi Sigma (Physics Honor Society). I am a LAMP Scholar and worked in Dillard University’s Optics and Laser Lab.

One of the most influential persons in my life is my mentor, advisor and educator, Dr. Abdalla Darwish. He has contributed a lot towards my educational growth. Additionally, my parents are very influential and essential aspects of my life as they have taught me so much and helped to build my character.

I believe that “Everything happens for a reason”. I am ambitious to accomplish my goals and I tend to get things done quietly.
