Congratulations to today’s Hercules Scholar, Keeto Browne, a junior accounting major at Langston University. The Sydney, Australia native plans to get his master’s degree and taking the CPA exam upon graduation. Keeto also aspires to employ individuals and help the members and youth of the community in his country to gain opportunities in basketball.

Driven by a desire to provide for his mother and ease her financial burden, Keeto applies himself in academics and basketball. He is also inspired by the coaches who have lead him throughout his basketball career.

As a non-U.S. citizen, Keeto has found it difficult to pursue an education in the U.S. due to cost. He says that his Hercules scholarship will help tremendously and lift much strain from his mother’s shoulders.

Keeto lives by the motto that his father taught him: “Work hard to make the rest of your life the best of your life.”
