Future Certified Public Accountant, Le’Darrien Ledbetter of UAPB, is Today’s Hercules Scholar

September 14, 2017 by Cherie S. White

Le’Darrien Ledbetter

Classification: Sophomore
Major: Accounting
GPA: 3.77
Hometown: Little Rock, Arkansas
Career aspiration: Certified Public Accountant

Congratulations to Le’Darrien Ledbetter, today’s Hercules Scholar. The sophomore accounting major at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is a tennis student-athlete. Having a talent for excelling in math, coupled with his love of the subject, lead Le’Darrien to pursue accounting. He considers himself to be self-driven, hardworking, and optimistic, despite not receiving the support of my family and friends during his childhood.

In addition to maintaining a 3.77 grade point average, Le’Darrien is a Carolyn F. Blakely Honors Program scholar. Le’Darrien also maintained three jobs this past summer; an Internship at Regions Bank, Team Player at ASICS, and Tennis Center Aide at Rebsamen Tennis Center. Le’Darrien is president of the Accounting Club. After graduation, he plans on completing the two additional semesters (15 hours each) required to take the CPA exam, with hopes of becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
