Find Our HBCU News Now on “The HBCU APP” !

[Dallas, TX – August 31st]

As our audience grows, we want to continue to reach the HBCU Community all over. We are proud to announce that now you can find our HBCU News, Scholars, Videos, Tweets and more on ” The HBCU APP “.

Kelvin Jones, a native of Greenville, SC, graduated from South Carolina State University in 1989, with a degree in Economics. Jones has more than 20 years of technology development and project management experience in the financial services industry.

He is a very active member of the Charlotte Chapter of South Carolina State National Alumni Association. While serving in the alumni association,  Jones began to develop the idea and concept for an  app.   From there, “The HBCU App” was born.  It was born out of a desire to give back to a community that had given so much to him and so many others.

Jones officially launched the app in January of this year of 2015.  The goal of the app is to provide a single platform for social media, news and events information and other resources for students, prospective students, parents, alumni and friends of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.  When he started this mission, he had three main goals in mind.

We are excited to be featured on the ” HBCU APP” and look forward to the great things this app will do for the HBCU community.
