OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:

Edward Waters College (EWC) was named one of the most affordable by Great Value Colleges, a website that seeks to match students with their degree program at the lowest price. The website ranked EWC 25th among the 100 most affordable small colleges east of the Mississippi River.

Edward Waters College, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and member of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), is a private, historically black, urban college which offers a liberal arts education.

The institution offers Baccalaureate degrees in eight programs: Mass Communications, Music, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Biology, Elementary Education, Mathematics and Business Administration. The EWC Department of Business Administration is also accredited by the International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) and recently received the 2015 HBCU Award for Best Business Program.

EWC was established in 1866 and is an African Methodist Episcopal Church-related institution of learning. It is the oldest private institution of higher education and the oldest historically black college or university (HBCU) in the State of Florida.
