• Monday, April 21

Earth Day Seminar from 4-5 p.m. in room 115 of the Social Sciences Building.  Presented by the SSU Environmental Science Club, the seminar will feature Savannah native and environmental activist and educator Albert George.

Poverty Simulation from 4:45-7:30 p.m. in Student Union ballrooms B and C.  Students and community volunteers will walk in the shoes of those facing poverty in Savannah to increase understanding of the situations they experience and the difficult decisions they must make every day.  The event is co-hosted by Step Up Savannah.  For more information call 678-724-0862.
• Tuesday, April 23

Signing of a Strategic Alliance Memorandum between the U.S. Small Business Administration and Savannah State University at 10 a.m. in the Hill Hall Seminar Room, located on the third floor.  The memo signifies a joint effort between SSU and the SBA to promote small business through education, community outreach and increased awareness of SBA resources for minority-owned businesses.  Interested media should confirm attendance with Mark D.
