Aspiring Software Developer at Allen University Receives $1,500 Hercules Scholar

Hometown : Lagos, Nigeria

GPA :  4.0

Major / Classification : Computer Science/ Sophomore

Taiwo Adelabu was named the Tom Joyner Foundation Hercules Scholar from Allen University.

Taiwo is studying Computer Science at Allen University.  After earning his bachelors at Allen University,  he is planning pursue his Master’s degree in software development/programmer. His ultimate career goal is to become a software developer.

Taiwo is very involved on the campus of Allen University. He is a member of National Society of Black Engineers, Allen University peer tutor, and lead volunteer instructor at IT-ology

The most influential person in Taiwo’s life are his parents. He mentions they have been supportive of him and pushed him to be successful in life.

He lives by the motto ”Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase”- Martin Luther King Jr.
