Aspiring Academic Director Tarai Rolle Receives $1,500 Hercules Scholarship

Major / Classification : Psychology / Senior

Tarai Rolle was named the Tom Joyner Foundation Hercules Scholar from Philander Smith College.

Tarai is studying Psychology at Philander Smith College . After earning his bachelors , he plans to obtain a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. He aspires to become an Academic Coordinator emphasizing on assisting African American males. He also has a great passion for music .

Mr. Rolle is a great example of an Hercules Scholar on campus as he serves as a mentor in Upward Bound, he is Vice President of the Greek Council , a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and He was also Mr. 2016 – 2017 Mister Philander Smith

The most influential person in Tarai’s life is his mother. He appreciates her daily fight to make a great life for her family.

He lives by the motto “Do what makes you happy, be with who makes you smile, laugh as long as you breathe, and love as long as you live”
