‘An Environment of Excellence’: Glenn Best, First Generation HBCU Student

March 9, 2017 by Cherie S. White

NAME: Glenn Best
SCHOOL ATTENDED: Saint Paul’s College (Virginia)
HOMETOWN: Lynchburg, Virginia

GLENN’S EXPERIENCE AS A FIRST GENERATION HBCU STUDENT: I had tremendous mentors and academic advisers. They fostered an environment of excellence and instilled a sense of accomplishment in every student. They made us believe that the “College on the Hill” was the giant slayer among colleges and universities in academics. Every day we lived the Founder’s writings in his book, “Adventures in Faith”.
