#TJFBHM18: NFL Referee Jerome Boger

Jerome Boger is a Morehouse College alum (1976). Jerome Boger was the head referee in Super Bowl XLVII, (2013) the second African-American to earn the distinction and the first HBCU graduate.  He was a 4-year starting quarterback at Morehouse.

He began his career in the NFL in 2004 as a line judge. After two seasons he was promoted to referee, becoming the third African American referee in the NFL.  Prior to becoming an NFL referee he officiated in the SAIC for eleven years and 5 years in the MEAC.
