FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Hope Credit Union (HOPE) and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) will celebrate the opening of HOPE’s newest branch within the UAPB Business Support Incubator and Office Complex at 615 South Main Street. The free, public event will take place on Tuesday, December 3, at 9:30 a.m.
The Pine Bluff branch is the product of collaboration between the UAPB Economic Research and Development Center (ERDC) and HOPE, and is supported by several organizations that understand the vital role that development and retail financial services play in fostering broad economic prosperity in a community. These groups include the Delta Regional Authority, NeighborWorks® America, and the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. Please join representatives of these partners, community leaders, media, and other stakeholders as we take this important step forward.
Since 1994, HOPE has partnered with private industry, public agencies, and community organizations to assist more than 400,000 individuals and generated over $1.7 billion in financing for entrepreneurs, homebuyers and community development projects across the Mid-South. At the celebration, we will share information about HOPE’s unique partnership with UAPB. In addition, we will share how HOPE will provide Central Arkansas residents with access to tools that will address their immediate and future financial needs.
The community is also invited to a grand opening community fair on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will feature financial education seminars, health screenings, as well as food and fun for area residents. The fair will also take place at the new HOPE branch in the UAPB Incubator facility.
