Miles College’s Second Annual Jazz Weekend To Feature Grammy Award Winner John Clayton

Fairfield, Ala. -The Miles College Division of Humanities Music Program and Jazz @ Miles presents the Second Annual Jazz Weekend Residency Project featuring John Clayton, Grammy award winning Bassist, composer, arranger, conductor producer, and educator. This Project is in support of recruitment activities and scholarship awards for the Jazz Studies Program at Miles College.

Host venue is The Ross Bridge Renaissance Golf and Spa Resort Hotel, 4000 Grand Avenue, Birmingham, AL 35226.  This Project will be Saturday, October 1, 2016. Master Class: 9:00-11:30. Lunch, Program, Presentations, Silent Auction: 12 noon – 2:00.

All admission fees will be receipted by the Jimmy McDaniels Foundation and will be credited as individual taxed deductible donations to the Willie Viola Seldon Jazz Memorial Scholarship award annually to the Miles College Division of Humanities Jazz Studies Program.
