Thomas Joyner, Jr., president and CEO, of the Tom Joyner Foundation, was among the host of VIP guests at Huston-Tillotson University’s President’s 2014 MASKED Scholarship Gala in Austin, Texas.
Raheem DeVaughn, the Grammy-Award nominee, rhythm and blues, and neo-soul singer, headlined the black-tie affair. The 11th annual banquet helped raise money for the university’s program: Mankind Assisting Students Kindle Educational Dreams (MASKED) Gala. Veteran Texas Senator Royce West served as the Honorary Chair of the scholarship gala in support of education and Huston-Tillotson University.
